Terms and Conditions

Please note that all participant registrations to Decoded Future Digital – A Stylus Event are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.  

Registration

By registering for and/or attending the virtual event (“the Event”), participants are bound by, and must comply with, these Terms and Conditions. It is the individual’s responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions.  If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not participate in the Event. We may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time without specific notice to you, the latest version of these Terms and Conditions will be posted at www.decodedfuturesummit.com/legal#terms and you should review them prior to participating in the Event.

Registering to attend the Event is available through our booking service agent and virtual event platform BigMarker on our microsite www.bigmarker.com/s/Decoded-Future-Digital/home, or via the Decoded Future website through an embedded Big Marker registration form.

You agree to provide us with accurate, complete registration information. Your registration must be done using your real name, corporate email address and accurate information. Each registration is for your personal use only and not on behalf of any other person or entity. We do not permit any other person using the registered sections under your name or access through a single name being made available to multiple users on a network. You are responsible for preventing such unauthorised use.

You may be asked to provide additional information when registering. These checks may include, but not be limited to, a request to be provided with proof of identification and attempts to contact a registrant by telephone.

Decoded Future reserves the right to refuse registration or attendance if, in our sole discretion, if it is deemed that the potential participant would in some way be an inappropriate participant.

Registration confirmation will be forwarded to you by email once it is received and approved.

Cancellation and rescheduling of the virtual event

Decoded Future reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event at its sole option and discretion. Decoded Future excludes any liability for such cancellation or postponement, participants registered for the Event will not be entitled to claim for any loss or damage.

If the Event is cancelled or postponed to another date Decoded Future will contact you as soon as reasonably possible by email using the details you have supplied. If you do not receive this notification because you have not updated the email address we hold for you, we cannot be held liable.

Event Terms

The Event is strictly for guests aged 18+.

Entry to the Event is at the sole discretion of Decoded Future and Decoded Future reserves the right to eject any registrant for reasons of security and over capacity. Decoded Future’s decision in this regard is final. Photography and the recording or transmitting of audio or visual material, data or information is expressly prohibited.

Decoded Future will be recording the Event through filming and sound for use by Stylus anywhere in the world for promotional, marketing, or other purposes.

Decoded Future is dedicated to providing a harassment-free virtual conference experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of Event participants, speakers, exhibitors, or employees in any form. In the event of inappropriate behaviour by any participant in the view of Decoded Future they may be excluded from the Event.

We reserve the right to investigate complaints or reported breaches of these terms and conditions and to take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to reporting any suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement officials, regulators, or other third parties and disclosing any information necessary or appropriate to such persons or entities relating to your profile, email addresses, usage history, posted materials, IP addresses and traffic information.

CONTRIBUTIONS AND DISCUSSIONS GROUPS

“Contribution" refers to any material and/or content which you post, share, upload, or place or which you have posted, shared, uploaded, or placed at our Event.

Our Event may include bulletin boards, forums, chat rooms, discussion groups and other public areas which allow participants to post a Contribution to our Event which may or may not be interactive.  You understand and agree that we do not monitor or review Contributions to our Event, however, we reserve the right to delete or remove any Contribution or other content with or without reason at our sole discretion including but not limited to any content which breaches these terms and Conditions

You are solely responsible for the content of all Contributions you make. You agree to comply with any rules or policies relating to content of such Contributions which we make available or post on our Site. 

Without limitation Contributions must not:

  • contain any material which is or could be defamatory in any way;
  • contain any material which is illegal, offensive, threatening, or violent, sexually explicit, or discriminatory or which may otherwise contain any content which may be illegal or offensive;
  • advertise or promote any product or otherwise be used for commercial purposes;
  • be likely to harass, intimidate, upset, embarrass, alarm, or annoy any other person;        
  • infringe any third party intellectual property rights;
  • contain any viruses or harmful elements;
  • restrict or inhibit any other person from making any contribution or participating in the Event.

All Contributions will be considered non confidential and will be publicly available.  By submitting to Contributions you give us the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such Contributions for any purposes and warrant and represent that you have all rights to do so.

Intellectual Property Rights.

The content, materials, documents,  organization, graphics, design, compilation, magnetic translation, digital conversion and other matters related to the Event (“Content and Materials”) are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks and other proprietary (including but not limited to intellectual property) rights. The recording, copying, printing, republishing, distribution, transmission, sale, rental or loan of the Content and Materials is strictly prohibited. You do not acquire ownership rights to any Content or Materials viewed from participating in the Event.  Some of the content on the Event is the copyrighted work of third parties

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us and our partners, agents, officers, directors, employees, subcontractors, successors, assigns, third party suppliers of information and documents, attorneys, advertisers, product and service providers, and affiliates (collectively, “Affiliated Parties”) harmless from any liability, loss, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees, related to your breach of these intellectual property rights.

Amendments and changes

We do not represent or warrant that the Event will be error-free, free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. We may make changes to the features, functionality, or content of the Event at any time. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to edit or delete any documents, information or other content appearing at the Event.

Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy, as it may change from time to time, is a part of these terms and Conditions. You must review this Privacy Policy by clicking on this link.

Limitation of Liability

Content and Materials is not intended to and does not constitute advice or recommendations. We do not warrant or guarantee the accurateness, completeness, adequacy or currency of the Content and Materials. 

The Event may contain advertising and sponsorships. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion at the Event is accurate and complies with applicable laws. We are not responsible for the illegality or any error, inaccuracy or problem in the advertiser’s or sponsor’s materials

The views expressed by any speaker at the Event are representative of the speaker’s own opinions and cannot in any way be attributed to Decoded Future. Decoded Future disclaims any liability for views expressed by any speaker at the Event. 

To the extent permitted by law Decoded Future excludes all liability to you for any damage or loss you suffer from participating in the Event.

Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are subject to the law of England and Wales and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English law, and the parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
